Right Feel
Right feel
Charlie Musselwhite,
an American electric blues harmonica player better known as the “white
bluesman” quotes on his fellow musician ,“When Big (Walter) was in the right
mood, he could be the most ferocious, the most inventive, the most dangerous
harp player I ever heard.” Being at crest on a chore in the right feel–would
entail most of us since it is a consequence of mood swings which in turn is an
outcome of hormonal changes. What would be the best start to your day? Well,
for me it would be a warm cup of coffee slitting down my throat in a mild
breeze of air near the window listening to Guns N' Roses in the mise-en-scène. This brings in me a
different premonition than anything else does, and sets me right in the mood to
kick start my day. The day when I miss this Ambiance, I am the not just the
same Guy. I get busy but alas not productive enough!
We already might have
known by now that we can’t always get things going our way; the comfort zone
that sets us in right mood cannot be accessible every time. It is said, if you
want something you’ve never had, you need to do something you’ve never done
before. As a matter of fact, doing something you’ve never done before pushes
you to obviously get out of the box to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
But it is easier said than done. As emotional beings, we tend to have mood
swings the very moment we encounter with the inevitable events in live such as
happiness and sorrow.
Mood swings have been
closely related with us being arrogant and despondent. Having a
deeper meaning of life and being able to connect with a stable mindset
certainly allows us to be happy and remain contented. Spirituality is a medium
that allows us to diffuse throughout no matter how big the spaces of our
problems be to provide with us a broader picture of the issue and come up with
a sensible solution. Interestingly enough, spirituality need not be religious
as a belief to be practiced by a specific group of individuals but is an act of
transcending the mundane/trivialities, and an exploration of a deeper meaning
of life to find the once forfeited links with someone/something more profound
than the things we see regularly.
Before having an
acquaintance with spiritualism or basically before learning anything in
general, it is a must we remain humble. It is only through the feeling of
humbleness and gratitude can we learn something because a humble man always
makes room for progress whereas a proud man feels he is already there. A
beginning step to spiritual awakening can be to spend at least 5minutes a day
closing your eyes and meditating. It is recommended by most of the
psychologists that you meditate for at least two times a week for a total span
of 20 minutes. According to Leonardo da Vinci, Meditating on purple light is
said to increase the concentration by as much as 10 times. Meditation is done
to set the mind free from stress and can be accompanied by the 4 cycle– inhale
counting up to 4, hold your breath counting up to 4, exhaling counting till 4
and pausing counting till 4 for 4 times in total. This makes us calmer and
eventually helps to make us more patient.
Second step can be to
studying the spiritual books. The spiritual books may vary from The Bhagwat Gita to The Holy Bible depending
on your preference. There are numerous books and magazines on spiritualism in
case you feel like not to be religious. Finally, yet importantly the step to
spiritual awakening may be in spending some time with nature. It has been said
you need to travel not to find yourself but to remember who you’ve been all
along. Growth is sometimes a lonely process, be in quiet with yourself in
nature–the whispers of your soul will be audible.
To quote Muhammad
Ali, a globally renowned American boxer, “it isn’t the mountains ahead to climb
that wear you out; it’s the pebble in your shoe”. Let not the waiting for the
right feel/ bad mood be that pebble in your shoes ahead of the mountain you got
to scale. The road might seem tough from the place where you stand now but I
bet you won’t regret the view from the top.
This article has been
written when I was so out of topic– of course I wanted to write
though. Generally, it takes for me a drive from inside to really come up and
write, the feel for which I long the most is infact the “Right feel”.
